Default Live from Gainesville

We made the short haul from Williston (where we stayed) to Gainesville yesterday and made it through registration and tech. The T&T was rained out by a short rain shower then it cleared up for the rest of the evenning. Today (Friday) its over cast and spitting rain hopefully it will clear up but it looks pretty bad right now. There's still alot of cars here already. I don't have much of an internet connection so pic's may have to wait.

Thanks Keith, I need all the luck I can get. Well S/ST got their first time shot. Its a little slow I went 10.96. A few stockers got to run before the sprinkles started again. The rain is coming down pretty steady now ,not sure if they'll be able to dry the track again. They just told all the cars in the lanes to go back to the pits. We're invited to a low country boil tonight, put on by our racing friends James, Steve, Dennis and Shawn
.Looking forward to some good food.

So, from what you have written, it does'nt sound like the track was dry very long at all today.
I'm 2 hours south of Gainesville and it's been raining and drizzle most of the day here.
What do you see for tomorrow?

The track kept getting drizzled on, they got it dry around 3pm then after s/st and a couple stockers it rained enough to stop things for the day. The weather channel is saying it should be better today and worse Sunday thats about all I know. I tried to up load some photos way to slow. Its 7am and there on the track with the sweeper. I hope they'll give us 1 shoot then 1st round????????

Well another 1st round RU, this has been a rough racing trip. They got 1st round done on most classes yesterday. Still no rain this morning but the weather channel said it coming. One SC dragster did get in to the wall yesterday evening the cars done but the drive is OK. We'll be heading north taking a couple days to get there, sounds like a lot of weather on the east coast.

Robbie, it was nice meeting you in the tech line Thursday and finally putting a face with the name. I hope you have a safe trip home and we will meet up again someday.

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1.

RIP Mark Graham & WB Hutto
