NHRA Super Street poll
NHRA is polling Super Street racers. I'm posting it as closely as I can here, so racers not listed in their database can vote.

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
If I wanted to go dial in racing I could just stay home and go bracket racing. Plus I save $5.99 on the shoe polish.

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
I see no need for the Scotty rule....by the way, how did it get to be called the Scotty rule? Something to do with Scotty Richardson running multiple classes?

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
I believe so. It was back when he was winning championships and races all over the country in multiple categories including Super Street. Since Super Street is suppose to be entry level. I guess they felt traveling pro sportsmen shouldn't be allowed to run in it.
Since Super Street can't win a national championship, it seems like overkill to also disallow people from entering Super Street as well as some other category. |

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
It wasn't the entry level drivers that were complaining about Scotty.
It was the 20 year entry level SST Pro's that were upset.. He was kicking our buts in SG & SC too. |

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
I think it's interesting, over 1000 views and only 83 votes... but yet people will complain if something changes.

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
If NHRA allows us to run for a National Championship in Super Street I may consider racing within that format again. The Scotty rule is stupid… And there is nothing “entry level” about SST.

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
I voted to keep it the way it is and drop the Scotty rule. All three classes are fine, they aint broke. If I remember right, I think Cohen has brought this up a few times about dropping the index - Is he the instigator behind these polls?

Re: NHRA Super Street poll
Most of the big-buck guys are the agitators for lower indexes, because one of the few advantages they don't already have is where on the track they come off the stops - nobody likes loading the chassis with 1100 HP at 330' down track. Now they want the last advantage to the slow cars - consistency on marginal track conditions - turned to their favor as well. Just my opinion. There's nobody stopping them from replacing their 598's with 454's.
