Default D4 Announcer

Giving props where they are due. One of the best S/SS announcers out there. Well informed, knows about the cars, the classes and the drivers. Easy to listen too. Keep it up!!

We need more people like Chris in the tower that know what the heck they are talking about. I was at a race in 2022 and John Barkley was there with his iconic 57 Chevy. The announcer had no clue who he was or the history of the car.

Chris, do you and a few others want to give lessons on "How to announce a race properly" ???

P.S. Just so you know the car John had at that race is the very car that he won the 1968 Winternationals in.

I use to announce at Baytown Track in 86 87 seasons on Wednesday night. Alan Miller was track manager we had a great time!

Got a kick out of Chris saying when Kent got loose in his Vette that is what referred to as a “Code Brown”. Shades of Unk right there LOL.

You, sir, are definitely appreciated. No comparison to the “reaction time” announcers.

I greatly appreciate all of the kind words fellas. Unfortunately my voice is on its last leg, so I’m going to sit out everything but Comp for the rest of the day in hopes I can at least do the semis and finals. I feel 100% fine, but I was sick earlier in the week and it just kicked me in the teeth as far as talking goes. I hate it, but it is what it is.
