305 engines
Hey guys and gals, im alllllll new to this stocker thing. i ran my mustang in super street and bracket raced for yrs. Now im switching over to stock. What i have is a 305 two barrel q/sa im not looking to go -1.000 but maybe like .500 under. Is there anything special i need to do to achieve this? I guess im a dummy when it comes to this stuff. Lemme know any feedback is much appreciated. Private notes can be sent to iroc_kindaguy@yahoo.com.

Thanks I already feel welcome. well i am using a 78 monte carlo. i got the car as a drive like i stole it deal. it already has a motor in it that runs right now .45 under in the 1/8. it also has a turbo 350 not the metric 200 which i was gonna check into but right now i can't be dropping 4 g's on a trans and converter. but im wanting to take the motor out so i don't hurt it, so i can give it back. cause its the guys spare for his other stocker. so i so far have learned not to use a 305 block due to thin cyl. walls. maybe try to find a 307 and sleeve it back? so ive been told. but like i say all help is appreciated.
