Re: New Mopar Intake approval
Recently approved cast iron SBC intake. Legal for 1955 and up on anything that was originally equipped with a 4bbl carburetor. It's cast iron, has a Chevy part number and was available over the counter. Plus, it was OEM on Volvo-Penta marine engines.
Why should the Fords, MoPars and Ramblers have all the fun, right ????

Re: New Mopar Intake approval
That's a nice looking intake. It looks like it should flow as well as the LD340. Can the Mopar guys use that intake with some adapter plates and a 440 ThermoQuad? I guess all these replacement parts will eventually raise the HP factor on those combos. Sort of like the replacement heads. My thing is just being able to find a part to run the car. I still haven't found a 273 4bbl intake that fits the later heads. A friend has one that fits the early heads.
