Re: New Mopar Intake approval
Adger, please submit one of these for the 440-6 for Stock. I have one, but it has popsicle sticks glued to the floor. With the aluminum top on the right. The wooden looking one probably won't be legal for stock. They had Chrysler part numbers on them and several tops.

Re: New Mopar Intake approval
More of the Weiand cross/tunnel ram intake. Paul Rossi ran this on his Sixpack Challenger 40 years ago. It must have terrible distribution with the 6 pack. I can see where fuel ran all over the bottom of the plenum (very shallow) from the center carb.

Re: New Mopar Intake approval
I don't think Weiand made one for the B engines. That would have been a good intake for the 1962 383/343HP engine. It's a pretty tall intake though.

Re: New Mopar Intake approval
I just checked my old Chrysler manual, it was at Keith Black they modded the 440-6 Weiand mani for the 383/343s, if you get a chance, can you measure the width of it or see if it has been milled.

Re: New Mopar Intake approval
Paul, my intake measures about 8.7" across at the rail (straight across, not on the diagonal along the valley rail). I have a B engine Hogan intake and it measures about 7.4" straight across. The Hogan has raised but has wide but short ports, so whatever heads they fit were extensively modified. The Weiand intake looks unmodified except for the popsicle sticks.

Re: New Mopar Intake approval
I'm pretty sure Weiand didn't make a 2/4 top. single dom and 3/2s only for the high block. With the fixes to the intake Chrysler did, the manifold worked quite well. Certainly not to be confused with the 2/4 tunnel ram in first post. Lookout you could be stirring up the wild dogs on this site about alumium Mopar intakes.

Re: New Mopar Intake approval
I was just jumping on Adger's post about the tunnel ram feeding him some straight lines so he could land the punch line. Bah-dum-dum!
I'll be here all night and don't forget to tip your waitress.
