Rod… A 3245 is an L-79 Carburetor. A good rebuildable core is very valuable and hard to find. The QuickFuel replacement would be the way to go. Contact Jimmy Bridges, he will be able to help you. MB.

Re: 350 hp 327 carb ?
Depends if you are looking to restore or race that engine.
Restore: '65 - R2818 Corvette only, R3043 Chevelle only '66 - R3245, R3367 Corvette only, and R3806( a late replacement carb). The R3367 was also used on 327-300hp engines and should not be that hard to find. '67 - R3806, R3807, R3810 and R3814. These carbs were used on the 350 rated engine in the Corvettes and the 325 rated engine in Chevelles, since they are the same engine with different ratings. The R3806 and the R3810 were also used on the 327-300hp engine in Corvettes. The R3807 and R3814 are California calibrated carbs. As an additional note of interest, the R3810 and R3814 were originally spec'ed for use on '67 Z28s, but that was nixed before it went into production. And the 396-375hp engine is spec'ed with a variation of this series of smaller carbs with R3811 and R3815 designation, though you will never see them in real life. Race: For all years, use the Quick Fuel Part Number SSR-585-1VS; it's readily available new and has metering advantages over the old carbs for race use.

Re: 350 hp 327 carb ?
Has anyone ever seen a R2818 original to a corvette? The reason I ask is years ago I bought a 1955 Belair 2 dr htp with what I believe was a 365/327 engine and the carb has four 1/8 in holes drilled in the body of the carb about a inch above the throttle plates. The car had been setting since a 1972 so I don't think someone had added them because they were all the same size and height. Just wondering if someone had ever seen anything like that.

Can't say for sure about the 2818's, but I know the Holley 3 barrels have those holes.
