Re: Solid roller lifters for LT1
The first year with this car we used nothing but Lucas 10-30 full syn racing oil. We ran out of it and decided to try Royal Purple 5-30 . We had 2 rockers come loose enough to lay over to the side just idling up to the lanes.one of the adjuster nuts was cracked. I put them back and checked all the others. At Houston the next week after a good pass, a different one came loose in the shut down area,and...the adjuster nut was cracked. So I'm thinking what was the one thing we changed?...so I fixed it again drained out the RP put on new filter.filled it with Mobil 1 10-30 raced the rest of the weekend with no problems. So I'm thinking those lifters aren't staying pumped up unless the car is screaming down the track.

I don't think solid roller lifters are legal in stock.
