1966 Chevy II Wagon 327 Street/Strip Turn Key Ready

For Sale 1966 Chevy II Wagon This car has been a Drag Car for many years that uses the factory front and rear suspensions. The body of the car overall is in good condition, the paint is fair but is good patina, and there are some areas that will require repairs if you want the car to be a show car. The car is street legal, Florida title and Insured. 37,552 Miles The car has not been on the Drag Strip since the New 327 engine and Powerglide transmission and torque convertor were built and installed. Its been driven less than 100 miles in the last 2 years. Engine: The engine is New, which is a Chevy 327 standard bore block with Flat-top pistons, GM rods and GM forged steel crank with deep sump oil pan. Cylinder heads are GM #461 which are Super Stock 58 c.c. heads that were prepared by JAX Racing Heads in Minneapolis MN. Camshaft is Crane .500 lift, 248* duration @ .050, 308* advertised duration Hydraulic. Competition Cams Stainless Steel Roller Rocker Arms, guide plates, chrome-moly 1-piece push rods, modified Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold with custom adaptors to the Race prepped Q-jet by Specialty Performance Engineering. Ignition is a new Pertronix racing HEI with new Taylor plug wires. Exhaust is Hooker Competition 1-3/4 primary tube fender well headers with race mufflers. Cooled by a Northern Aluminum radiator with electric fan. Transmission: New GM Powerglide with 1.76-1 low gear set with Transmission-Brake. New Hughes 3200 stall 10 converter. B&M Pro Shifter, Stainless Steel braided hoses routed from transmission to the cooler mounted in front of the radiator. Rear End: Body has been mini-tubbed to accept the 29.5 x 9 Hoosier Drag Slicks which are mounted on 15 x 10 Bogart ultralite racing wheels. The rear axle is a modified Chrysler 8-3/4 #742 case with Billet Steel yokes, Spool, 4.30 ring and pinion and Moser 30 spline race axles, and Wilwood Disc Brakes front and back. All mounted to the GM factory Mono-Leaf rear leaf springs with traction bars and New rear shock absorbers. Fuel System: RCI 16-gallon race fuel cell with sending unit, dual fuel pickup rear sump, and stainless steel braided #8 fuel lines to New Aeromotive/Carter fuel filter and New Aeromotive/Carter Race fuel pump. #8 line all the way to the New Aeromotive/Carter fuel regulator with gauge and #6 line to the Race prepped Q-Jet by Specialty Performance Engineering. Chassis: The Chevy II unibody has been all tied together front to back and side-to-side with steel tubing under the car as well as a legal 6-point roll bar and has 2-tubular driveshaft loops to contain the custom 3 driveshaft which has Billet Steel yokes and 1350 series racing ujoints. The front suspension is all new and comes with street coil springs and shocks installed, as well with the race competition Moroso drag coil springs and 90-10 drag shocks, and has travel limiters in the front suspension for best 60 times. Converted to 1967 Chevy II steering box, and tilt steering column. Wilwood disc brakes front and rear. Interior: The interior has a newer tilt steering column, steering wheel, New black upholstered bench seat, head liner and carpet. The Battery is located in the rear in a custom vented battery box and has the appropriate master disconnect switch mounted under the right tail light. Race Front: are 15x4 Bogart ultralite racing wheels with Mickey Thompson drag tires. Race Rear: are 29.5 x 9 Hoosier Drag Slicks which are mounted on 15 x 10 Bogart ultralite racing wheels Street Wheels: new GM Rally Wheels with caps and like new radial tires for street use. 165R-15 front radial tires, 275R60-15 rear radial tires. The car is titled, licensed and insured in the state of Florida. Can be street driven and/or raced. Additional items: 2-extra rust free front doors w/glass, 1- drivers side rear door, complete tailgate assembly, wiper motors and transmissions and arms, front drag coil springs and shocks, rear seat assembly, extra grille, horns, some weather-strip, heater control panel w/cables, fiberglass front bumper, all go with the car.
