30th Annual Uncle Buck Pig Roast - Aug 12-13 - Cecil Co
Rising Sun, Md - If you live in the Northeast and own a .90 car or a TD / TS car, on August 12th & 13th the place to be is Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Md for the 30th Annual Uncle Buck Pig Roast.
Celebrating its 30th Year of existence the Uncle Buck pig roast is an event all to itself. The racers come to grab one of the coveted "Piggy" trophies along with the etched cutting boards while the Donhausers & crew from the Moose Lodge of Bel Air cook up a feast that is 2nd to none! Friday night August 11th: Street and Grudge Racing. Gates open 5pm, Racing 6pm-10pm. Racers $30 each, No Time $40 each, Crew and Spectators $15 each. Both gates will be open to park. We try to park over in the grass area as it's easy access for everyone to park together, pit together and hang out. Top Sportsman & Dragster racers will pit / park at Gate 1 (Asphalt area). Saturday August 12th: Mid Atlantic .90 Race # 3, Pro-Tree Challenge, AMC Day, Mid Atlantic .90 & Mid Atlantic Top 32 Series. Gates open 8am, .90 TT #1 at 10am (2 qualifiers and Elims all in one day) .90 Entry Paid at Rob Keister's Trailer - $90 - $20 optional Calcutta Racers $50 each Day, Crew and Spectators $15 each. Top 32 Racers will have 2 qualifiers and Bad 8 Race on Saturday. - Bad 8 Race is $75 Sunday August 13th: Mid Atlantic .90 Race # 4 ,Pro-Tree Challenge, Mid Atlantic .90 & Mid Atlantic Top 32 Series. Gates open 8am, .90 TT #1 at 10am (1 qualifier and Elims) .90 Entry Paid at Rob Keister's Trailer - $90 - $20 optional Calcutta Racers $50 each Day, Crew and Spectators $15 each. On Saturday there will be a $500 bonus on top of the winners purse to the .90 cars thanks to our presenting sponsor Fuel Factory. Payouts: Saturday & Sunday (32 Cars) W: $1500 /RUP: 500 - Payout back to 3rd round Membership - $80 The 30th Annual Uncle Buck Pig Roast will follow Race # 3 in the Donhauser Pits, this is a long-standing tradition that Ronnie "Uncle Buck" Harple started in 1993 and has continued past his death some 11 years ago. |
