Default Chrysler eyes returning to NASCAR

Chrysler management seriously considering taking Dodge brand back to NASCAR according to story in Daytona paper.

I noticed a Dodge - Dart, I think, running in the Xfinity Series races last season. I seem to remember the driver was not American. Aussie, perhaps? Maybe testing things out. The car did OK on the road coarse tracks but was lost on the ovals.

I also heard somewhere that Honda might do this, too. Didn't make sense to me until I remembered that Acura is a Honda brand.

All forms of racing need badge diversity. Lack of it is killing Pro Stock.

Be tough for the teams to race those cars when Chrysler tells them they have no spare parts to sell them. " But here is a hat and poster, thanks for choosing Mopar.

If they won't dedicate the necessary money and resources to 3-4 Pro Stock teams, any NASCAR team that signs with them is asking to be raped.

I've seen one or two Challengers running in that series. They probably are running out of parts by the end of this season.

I'm thinking Sergio will want to race a FIAT 500 or an Alfie. He seems to want to promote the Italian cars more than the Chrysler cars. Maybe he can start a "Buy a FIAT, get a dozen cannoli's" promotion. Leave the FIAT, take the cannoli's. Or maybe a tray of meatballs?

The Dodge driver I saw in the Xfinity Series is Alon Day. He is Israeli.

This is the truth right here. Mopar is embarrassing anymore.
