Default TNT Super Series SEASON FINALE has THREE RACES in THREE DAYS

TNT Super Series SEASON FINALE has THREE RACES in THREE DAYS

Closest points chase ever AND no registration fee for new racers this weekend!

The Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series will crown its seventh champion this weekend September 13-15 with a New York TRIPLE-header. Three separate races start Friday night on the 1/8th mile at Elegant Builders Raceway Park in Lancaster, NY and then shift to the 1/4 mile at Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY for events on both Saturday and Sunday.

Making things even more interesting, TNTSS Director Ted Barnes says the points registration fee will be waived this weekend for anyone who wants to try the series and has not raced in it before. "We did this last year to give people a chance to see what the TNTSS is all about with no commitment. And with three races in one weekend, it's an even better deal!"

Presented by Jan-Cen Motorsports, Friday's event is supposed to be the last race of the season. But with bad weather earlier this year, two more races got added. Saturday's race is actually RACE 2 on the schedule and is powered by Steve's Electric. It was rained out on Memorial Day weekend, re-scheduled and postponed again. Autos Direct of Buffalo present Sunday's race, again a re-scheduled rainout and was RACE 6 on the schedule.

"What makes this weekend exciting is the points chase. It's the closest it's ever been heading into the final few races with only 96 points from first to tenth." JJ Jablonski is leading with 592 points, David Surmatchewski is a close second with 578 and in third is Sam LoVetro Jr with 572. They are followed closely by Gary Kerl (535) and Ted Barnes (526). The remainder of the top ten are Chris VanBaalen (520), Kevin Orr (500), Andrew Stirk (500), teammates Jeff Sobczynski & Marc Vezina (498) and Jamie Stoneman (496).

In the fight for the Performance Improvements Driver of the Year Award lubricated by Royal Purple, Harry Phelps has a strong lead with an average winning package of only 0.030 through 10 races. David Surmatchewski is in second with Chris VanBaalen, Ted Barnes and JJ Jablonski rounding out the top five.

Gates open Friday at 3:00pm with qualifying at 5:00pm at EBRP. Saturday at Empire has gates opening at 11:00am, qualifying at 1:00pm and Sunday has gates opening at 9:30am, qualifying at 11:30am.
