Electric Tongue Jacks
One regret I have when I ordered my 28' Classic Dominator trailer is that I didn't get an electric tongue jack. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding what brand to buy and where to get it?

Re: Electric Tongue Jacks
Jim---2 brands come to mind Fulton & Reese--my daughter has a Fulton on her 27 foot boat trailer no problems in 5 years--I have had 2 Reese jacks first one motor died at about 10 years sent it into Reese to be rebuilt cost about $30 including shipping--second one has been on the trailer for about 15 years no problems---get a bolt on just remove your hand jack and its a simple bolt in uses the same holes just make sure you have a good sized cable going from the battery to the jack---also make sure ya get a jack with a built in light makes it easier when hooking up in the dark--I also made a canvas cover to keep the weather off o it too

Re: Electric Tongue Jacks
I have a VP-3000 by Barker MFG, Battlecreek, MI on my
car trailer. Only had it a few months, but happy with it so far. I have it wired into the 7 pin connector so it only works with it plugged into the truck. It came from my local RV store and was in the $230 range.

Jim,
Get VP 3000, I have had one since 2003 with no problems.

Re: Electric Tongue Jacks
You should be able to take it apart easily; maybe it just needs grease on the gears or bushings.
