Re: how to...8 sec mustang for zero dollars
this isnt as funny as it looks when its your dragster.......everyone involved was ok. my father was straping me in at royal purple raceway when we were hit from behind not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times before the owner of the mustang realized he didnt have a problem with his car...and realized he had just ran over(literally) a dragster in front of him. his excuse was "i didnt see you" so not only did he not see a 230" dragster, he didnt see my father standing beside the car strapping me in, he also didnt see the flashing red taillight, or the staging official giving him the wait sign. we were suppose to be the last car to pull up as i was there making my first license pass in the car. the owner of the mustang is 74 years old.......we are in "negotiations" at this moment.

Sorry to hear of the damage but glad you are okay. Did the guy just keep hitting the throttle? Did he not realize he was at the angle of a big wheelstand???

Re: how to...8 sec mustang for zero dollars
i have no idea what was going through his head....there were three progressively harder jolts before the trans gave way and on the fourth hit he was really in the throttle and when the dragster rolled it pulled him right up the slicks and onto the engine.

Sorry to see that. Glad no one was hurt. Our dragster was backed up on once. Door car on our front wheels. The other driver did pay the bill for the initial repair but I ended up doing a lot more replacing later just because.
