Great looking big ole' Chevy! My 68 Impala (the Green one in the picture ) was an original 427-425 4 speed car, it was sold it to a fella who restored it back to stock because I had the original # matching motor/trans with it.

Just maybe a heads up if you are going to run it, the weak point on these big Chevies (65-70) seem to be the rear crossmember where the upper control arms bolt to. Know a few guys who found our after, they ran slicks and high HP too. I plated and strengthen mine in the 65 Imp stocker I am building. I have a thread too with pics.

Good luck, thanks for the pics.

I plated the rear, basically the same setup you have. Also added a tubular crossmember behind the stock crossmember holding it all in place. My father said he ripped his out too.

I tore mine in a 65 Bel Air 4 door with a 230 and a 3 speed!

Love this build. In 1967 I would have been 10 years old but the 427 Biscaynes left an imprint on my brain. Am I remembering correctly that Richard Feldman had one? The "Mr. Security" car?
