Default TNT returns to DTRP for first of two WNY events this weekend

.
Jan-Cen Motorsports is perfect fit for highly competitive sportsman series

The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series returns to Dunn Tire Raceway Park (DTRP) in Lancaster, New York this Friday June 4th. After a record-setting 30 cars in the last race at DTRP, TNT officials are expecting a strong turnout now that the racing season is fully underway.

Presented Jan-Cen Motorsports, this is event four in the 2010 TNT season and it will offer the same guaranteed payouts, round money and specialty awards as always.

Jan-Cen Motorsports, operated by the Janis Family, is home to two-time IHRA Pro Modified World Champion Mike Janis. Mike currently runs in NHRA Pro Modified competition and is a strong supporter of the TNT series because it supports the local racer. “The TNT series does a great job. They've got a local focus with national event level competition . We’re proud to be a part of it,” said Mike.

Formed in 1958 by James Janis, Sr. and Tony Centra, Jan-Cen Motorsports has built its reputation as the number one stop for high performance products and service. Located in Elma, New York, they specialize in a variety of areas which include race engine building, high performance products, snowmobile sale and repair, and ATV sale and repair. What started as a mere dream for quality engine service over fifty-two years ago has turned into a world class operation with customers winning on three different continents using Mike Janis signature engines. In fact, Mike oversees every engine that leaves the shop - many making their way into TNT Super Series race cars.

The current Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series points leader is Dave Surmatchewski of Oakland, Ontario with 180 points followed closely by Mark Herbold of Elma, New York with 152 points.

Immediately following this Friday’s event, the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series heads to Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY on Saturday June 5th for the race five of the 2010 season.

Gates open at 3pm at DTRP on Friday with qualifying starting at 5pm. Visit www.dunntireracewaypark.com for full event details.
