great picture!!!!!! i still have all of the cars, i have been trying to sell them and all of the spare parts, i have not driven the 65 since 2005 and the wagon since 2007, heck the last time i drove the 64 aluminum car was 2001, b bodies take up quite a bit of shop space .

while we are on the subject of sanair, around 1990-91 my dad popped a hemi in the 65(uncle georges engine), they removed the engine from the car to give it to ray barton to fix since it was already in canada, it was later in the day and don garlits(don was using uncle george's motor home getting prepared for diamiond p instead of their trailers) was there helping my dad and uncle george remove the engine from the car, there was quite the audience watching big work on a s/s car , plenty of pictures were taken but we never got any , you would not happen to of taken any? or know anyone who has pictures?

A 1969 Hurst Publicity Photo,,,,,,

Can anyone tell which car was the #01 AMX Super/Stock car.

The Hurst Performance facility just randomly built the cars,,,,,much like
the LO23 Darts and BO29 Barracuda's.

There was no number system in distributing the cars,,,,,

January 23 thru 26, 1969
At BeeLine Dragway, Phoenix, Arizona
1969 AHRA Winternationals

In her 'best showing' with the 68' SS/BA Hemi Dart.

Shirley made it to the Semi-Finals in the SS/E Heads-Up/Non-Handicap Eliminator.
Losing to Ed Terry, in a factory-prepped 1969 Ford Mustang w/427 SOHC

Shirley ran one more Race-Event for Chrysler Performance.
The next week (February 2 and 3, 1969) at the NHRA Winternationals in
Pomona, California.

After that, she left the Hemi Dodge Dart, and campaigned for American Motors.

Shirley was not that successful campaigning the Dart at S/S events.
Her only 1968 S/S Eliminator win with the Dart , was at the Great Lakes Dragaway at
Union Grove, Wisconsin,,,,,in June 1968,,,,,one-week before the Springnationals.

See Dick Landy's 4-speed Dart,,,,,,he has a trim panel fastened to the trunk deck lid,,,,,,,,in several photo's.

The photo of the Miami Valley Dodge SS/BA car is from
the 1968 Springnationals (June 1968) @ Englishtown.

Don't think those guys would have had time to do a complete clone
job back then,,,,,\

All factory LO cars came with a steel trunk lid, no fiberglass here Paul. Landy installed the panel for a little more eye appeal ( might of had a little lead hid in there too???)
