Default Generators

What is a nice "quite" generator for say under $500.

I know Honda's are good but tooo much $$$$$.

I have a noisy Coleman, but it came with the trailer so i've been using it.

Thx for the advice.

If you are looking for something small to run a battery charger and other small things a 1000 watt honda I think is around 1000.00 bucks. I had a 3000 watt that I paid around 2000.00 for it, very good generator. I know you want to spend under 500.00 but I don't think you will find a QUIET one for that price.

A Honda 2000i will run you about $900 or so nowdays.
If you need something bigger than that your options are
two Honda 2000i with a connector to give you 4000 watts
or a Honda 3000 for around $1800.

Depends on your needs. A Honda 2000i weights about
35 lbs and a Honda 3000 about 135 lbs but comes with
wheels.

Yamaha also makes similar units in size and price that
are quiet.

Quiet generators generally aren't inexpensive. Bought my 3200 Subaru from a place in Illinois on Ebay 6 or 7 years ago. I've only had to change oil and has 1400 hours. I like the hour meter. Another choice and it's quiet.

The quiet Yamaha is the best in my experience. I can run my 3000 all night to run heaters, refrig, etc and neighbors don't even know it's running. The 1000's aren't that much cheaper than a 2000, which only weighs 44lbs. You get what you pay for and your neighbors at the track will appreciate it too!

Buy a 1000 Honda and be done with it under $ 700... I did it three years ago, best move I ever made .. You don't even know it's running , weighs 27 lbs and will handle everything you need .... Look up GGT trailers in NC , they have the best prices on Honda's in the country .... You won't be Sorry..... E-mail me if you have any questions .........
