Looks like in the second pic the car has much larger tires.

LO23,

Maybe contact "mike s" and see what information he might have.

Good idea, I'll do that- but I think his information is incorrect. I know for sure that my car is the car that Jim Keyes owned since 1973, since I bought it directly from him, and he recalls the car being around the Detroit area since it was new, and all evidence points to Dick Smith and possibly Stan Antlocer racing it (and most likely owning it) just in Michigan, so I really think the car that went to Canada and to the Tuetons was a different one. Although I am not 100% on the Stan Antlocer connection.

I wouldn't disregard this one yet , look closely at the bodyshop pic of Daryls car ,the base of the rear roof pillar seems to have a defined line on the base , the line curves up where it meets the quarter glass windows , just like the shape of vinyl roof chrome ,, doesn't go straight ,curves up ,just like the body shop pic as if there was chrome removed making a defined paint line . I have seen a few real lo23 cars that had the chrome added and vinyl roofs , some dealers wanted to make them resemble the production cars they were promoting , trunk lid trim added was another add on , making them fancy I guess, but no "Corinthian leather " though ,,,lol

Thanks LO23, what caught my attention was the third (center, rear) hood pin on your car. That was also a distintive feature of the "Wild Fire" car run by Wing/Alten out of Town + Country Dodge, Farmington Mich. Dick Smith also got his car through T+C Dodge, I believe, at least he advertised for then on the rear quarter panel. I worked the lube rack at T+C Dodge 1969 - 1971 as a young guy and was permanently affected by the sound of Wild Fire rocking the building as the guys prepped it for weekend battle!

The wife and I drove the project car from MI to TN this week and I participated in the Street Nights at Bristol last evening. A full second slower than my best et in Michigan, but my best MPH ever. I am having fun with it!

I'm thinking that the tow truck in front of it was part of the racing operation. There is writing on the front fender of it, but I can't make it out.

I did contact Lab Machine and spoke with the owner there last year and He does remember doing engine work for a guy with a Hemi Dart in the 70's, but doesn't remember any more specifics on it..

There are similarities on this car compared to rumors and information that has been dug up on my car over the years. Among those This car does have a tunnel Ram with a couple of big ol Holleys sitting on top. My car has been reported to have had a Tunnel Ram on it also.
Too bad there is no hood to be seen in this picture because my car was reported to have had a second scoop moulded on top of the original scoop. The owner had a nickname of 2 Scoop Lido..
Back over to the Yellow Bullet forum where it was reported the owner of that Dart was a Bob Lambandino or something like that (Similar to Lido?) Maybe 2 scoop Dino????

When Tim Hennessy bought this car off Lou Vignogna back in the mid 80's it was white. At the time of my purchase in 2001, it was believed to have been Charlie Castaldo's Dart which was Silver and red back in the early 70's. I found and spoke with the guy (Paul Pittman) who actually stripped the colors off the car when Lou owned it and painted it that white. He remembers the car being a silver, but doesn'remember if it had any insert color or not or if it did what color it was. he said maybe had a Maroon painted insert

PS Muchos Thanks to Terry Wetzel herefor giving me the heads up info on that picture.
Your welcome, wish I could have found out more. As soon as I saw that photo from New York National I knew it was the same Dart. The silver with dark (burgundy?) inset, unpolished Super Tricks and tunnel ram was all there.
