Default Re: National Dragster collection

If any one has a collection of old National Dragsters from 1966-1970, I would like to find issues that featrured the Divison 3 race at Bluegrass on the following dates.
1966 July 24th
1967 July 23rd
1968 July 20-21
1969 July 26-27
1970 Sept. 19-20
The coverage of these event dates would have probably been within a month of the event. Anywhere from the very next issue to one month later.
I know IM asking for a lot but It would be really nice to locate these.

(Too bad there is not a "National Automotive Publications" museum. (or library))

If you ask my wife, there is, it's in our basement... LOL
--------------------
I used to write articles for National Dragster for the track I work at, and I threw them all
away many years (couple moves or so) ago...

I have looked for copies with my bylines in them at flea markets and swap meets,
and have been able to find some of them.

I don't think my 20 year old son believed the old man that I actually used to do
that for a hobby (this all happened before he was born).
He is more excited to see the old articles and photos than I am.

There's my .02 worth.

I was doing some research for another board member here in the 1982 issues of ND.
Reading those issues sure does bring back memories !

I saw alot of ramp trucks for sale back then. (pre-big rig days)

I too have a similar dilema. My ND collection covers 1980-2007 and for years I have wondered if there was a respectable museum to donate them to.
Mine are all boxed and organized tho. (48 issues per box) so moving them would be easy.

I also would love to preserve them for future young gearheads, but with all of the new factory hot rods being built, I doubt many younger guys are interested in the old stuff.

I too have a collection from 77-10. I have two young nephews that race but are not interested on the past which I can recall thats the way I was at there age. My suggestion is Ebay or similar to sell. Only the older issues sell as most people don't save things and some older people may want to look into there GLORY DAYS!l
