can someone help-sfi 18.1 balancers
do the sfi 18.1 balancers ever expire like seat belts? I looked in my 09 rulebook and there is no expiration date next to the listing, but someone told me they are dated. i will need to get one but won't buy it until I am nearing engine dyno, (internal balance FE Ford, doesnt affect it) to lengthen the time until it expires. anyone?? as always, thanks in advance for your help

Re: can someone help-sfi 18.1 balancers
Scott, I have had a ATI "Super Damper" on my 428FE`s since the early 90`s, on the sheet it said that a "rebuild" is reccomended every 10 years, although I have yet to send it back. My 428 never sees near 7000 RPM, much different than say a 9000 RPM S/S small block. As mentioned, unlike seat belts or bellhousings that can "go bad" sitting in a box on a shelf, there is no date on my ATI damper.
