Default Final act

With tears in my eyes I read the Comp + article about the retirement from drag racing of
our favorite soap box drama queen/cry baby Angelle Sampay. How will we carry on without her?I'm drained of all emotion.I can't go on.Boo hoo hoo hoo.

Did you see her on ESPN Sunday? She looks as if she lives on Hostess Twinkies! Did I say that out loud? Oops. Jim

It just goes to show how messed up the NHRA is. Yes, she had to retire, due to lack of sponsorship? But, there are people all over the country with long, long racing carriers who retire, either by choice or not, that do not get the recognition they deserve. It is another dog and pony show. Sad really sad....

She did have a very successful career and proved that the women can also really handle one of those Prostock bikes......That girl surely won a ton of Wallys.....my thoughts on Angelle.... WJ

She was the 'Cat's Meow' for awhile.
Brought more attention to the Pro/Bike Events.
Did anyone notice that Bob Glidden came back, and
Evander Holyfield (at age 48) wants another shot at the title.
What's Next? Digging up Bela Lugosi for another Dracula remake!

Watching on ESPN3 you got to see all of the races and didn't have to watch all of those interviews. Coverage as drag racing should be covered.

When Bob pulled up on Friday at Indy, to make his first qualifying pass, he received a standing ovation from the crowd. The announcer said that had NEVER been done before.

I spoke to a rep from National Dragster regarding my late deliveries(whole other thread) and we discussed "good" stories and I bragged up the sportsman stories they had. I also told her of the brewing stories of the CJ's and Drag paks, she seemed lost. I told her of how this site has much more info than Dragster and they needed to use some of their ink on this emerging story.

If Cheech and Chong had good equipment (Bryce) they could have won a few Wally's too. The best part is if they lost they would laugh about it. Shed a tear on a big win is one thing, to cry about a loss is another. PSM is not missing her, she is missing PSM. She will surface in two years ready to try again. She had her day in the sun, now it is somebody elses turn.
