Re: oil down revised!
The issue with making the rule change retroactive is NHRA would have to give the fines already paid back to the racers. Have you ever seen money back from NHRA other than round or prize money?
One other question is what about those who refused to pay the fine? Do they get back in? It is a good start to have NHRA listen and the Advisory Council getting something done. The Advisory Council deserves a big Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 2 Cents |

Re: oil down revised!
The sportman oil down rule is a joke. My "sportman experience" at Topeka has me looking for another venue to race in. From being treated like S@@T at the credentals trailer, older lady with black hair needs to be fired, to leaveing 6 oz. of oil on the starting line first round to collect my coveted oil down fine. Just my 2cents or 500 dollars or 250 dollars or what ever it is

Re: oil down revised!
I did also stand in that line at Topeka.
I also did get a letter from Graham Light apologizing for the expereiece at Topeka. I almost lost my teeth when I read it. I never received anything like that from NHRA in my almost 40 years of dealing with NHRA so maybe things are changing. Just My 2 Cents |

Re: oil down revised!
Thank you members of the Sportsman Racers Advisory Board for pushing this change. I didn't have any high expectations of them being able to really make any change in the way NHRA does things, but I was wrong.
I now might consider making plans for '09 to enter S/ST at Commerce, if I can afford the fuel to make the trip there when the time comes. Thanks again to the Sportsman Racers Advisory Board (or whatever it is called). Glad someone is able to inject some common sence thinking toward the upper management at NHRA.
