The car in question in post #73 the jerrys automotive barracuda is the David Heath driven car owned by Dr. William Pearson of Owensboro ky. . David died of cancer in the early 70's. The car was sold to Paul Lance of Boonville indiana. Since then i have no idea where it ended up. The car was painted purple at the time of purchase and i thin it came out of Georgia and it was an original factory car.

Does anyone know if this was the result of a fire. Looks like it but the cars look like the were placed there after fire. Kind of confusing.

I would sure like to know the details of the picture showing the vette and the dart. It appears to be a shame that this happened to these two cars.

Concerning the BO29 in the falling down garage. From post #506 in the Hemi Dart topic:
From an email I received from then new owner of Dave's 'Cuda: Saturday, February 5, 2005 9:52 PM Just got back from NJ yesterday -- left on Monday from Ne. and got back Fri. 8:00 AM. While we were picking-up a 68 Cuda that I purchased, I took some pics of a 1968 AMX and a 69 Charger -- both ol' race cars. Thought I'd post them in case anyone recognized them. They've been there a LONG time. I'll post the Charger next -- Reed in Ne. Here's a shot of what happens when the owner doesn't take care of building maintenance !! The 67 Vette was a 427 tri-power/ 4-speed // the 68 SS Cuda is now here in my shop in Nebraska. It was Dave Wren's FIRST SS Cuda - been in this building since late 1969 after the owner bought the body from Sox & Martin. If you look in the S&M book at the picture inside their shop of the SuperBird, the Wren Cuda is right next to the Bird -- the original fenders and hood are still the that orange paint scheme and match the the Cuda in the picture. Its a ruff car in some ways but has a lot of good points such as 90% of the TUFF to find parts are with the car. I have most of the engine parts here already incl. NOS carbs, etc. I already bought another body to chop so we can reskin the roof and quarters. I'll post more later -- Thanks, Reed in Ne. Back on page 59(Hemi Dart topic) I think is where you will find some of the story. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Charlie A; 05-22-2013 at 09:47 PM. |
