1966 Valiant V-100 .......273/235 Commando (Class I/SA) How the NHRA messed around the weight breaks, and ruined a good little A-Body Stocker. The V-100 with the 273/235 HP had a weight break of 11.91 Wt/HP and the 66' Valiant fit great into (1966 = F/SA) and (1967 = E/SA). Then in 1968 the new weight break (11.50 - 11.99 Wt/HP = H/SA) and (1969 = I/SA) Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 03-02-2013 at 10:35 PM. |

Re: Mopars Little A Body Terrors...
Bob Ayres out of Little Rock Arkansas ran a green 273 Valiant as one of his "Grog" cars "back in the day".
I remember a magazine article about it. I've been looking for some pictures of it and.......they don't seem to exist. Quick search found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-PLYMOUT...90532339549%26 Last edited by Charlie A; 03-04-2013 at 09:34 AM. |

Before the Ayres "Super Grog" Valiant, there was the "Grog" Barracuda:

Re: Mopars Little A Body Terrors...
I wish I could track down either of those cars. I would love to have them back. The Barracuda was put back on the street and is probably still around Little Rock somewhere. I believe dad sold the Valiant to someone in Ohio. He didn't tell me exactly where because I was so mad at him for selling it.

I always thought that was one of the coolest cars ever. That is the time when I began to understand the art of building to the class, not necessarily to be the fastest car at the track. |

I do. Charlie, I am heading out of town for a few days. When I get back I'll scan them and send them to you. Send me a PM with your e mail address.
