Phil, Thank you for the kind words. I was mentored (Dad) well in community service. I was taught that if you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem. I feel there is enough blame to go around with both political parties. |

Such a shame...must be that xian education. Not at all confused calling you a Republican Commie...a RINO! Because I know what that means !! RINO equals Republican Commie ! No real Republicans are in left in your party. There is a reason why they have all left. You are a RINO meaning a Republican Commie ! So Drink more of the Trump Clorox or AntiFreeze as per your Commie Leader Trump. Your Diktator Trump says that is good for you. |

I believe there is more we can do. There are alot of positions in the VA/military that are filled by civilians. Many if not all of those positions should be filled by veterans, they earned it and know what their fellow soldiers have went through. They are just as qualified as any civilian and could be trained as anyone else has been.Their is absolutely NO reason for them to be living on the streets. The least we can do is give them a purpose. We owe them big time.

The VAMC are kind of a hit and miss with regards to care. With regards to employing Veterans in the VA, this is a classification issue and the inability of Vets understanding how to apply and how to use their Veterans Preference. The classification issue is one that it is hard to place a combat arms i.e. grunts, arty and tanks into a position with the VA if they have to no skills to match the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) that are advertised in the announcement. A lot of the people working the claims do have a medical background and can read the medical records of the Vet i.e corpsman, medic. The doctors and nurses are sometimes from the military and understand the problems that arise with Vets (PTSD). I hope I am not rambling but as a former Civil Service HR Manager, GS-13 step 8, I have a little background in the subject matter of recruiting Vets and have hired literally thousands in the Naval SW Region. |

Pryor to discharge ask them if they would be interested in a career with them in administrative/ maintance/grounds keeping whatever. Give them the skills necessary for the position. There is no better education than on the job training. My Dad was drafted and took basic at Leonardwood, stationed at Carson, and attached to Camp Hale near Leadville,CO. They trained him in mountain warfare. They taught him how to ski, scale rock cliffs, survive in the cold. They asked him to stay on, he declined. Returned home to Minnesota and started a successful business of 37yrs till his retirement. There is so much more to these young men and women if just given the opportunity.

And now the cartels are charging $6,000 per person to get illegals into Arizona. Isn't this fun. What most people think is that the poor illegals come here to feed their families. Wrong. Most come here to make money and will do whatever they need to, including stealing, robbing, drugs, rape, and killing. They are not seeking regular jobs.
