Dave Reuland just posted this info.
http://classracer.com/classforum/sho...3&postcount=45 So, that means that the '73 GTO that Mick Leiferman raced was indeed SD455 powered, but did not come from the factory that way. |

Just found this one.
It's a '74 T/A, which is said to have had 455SD power, running F/SA, @ this '79 Canadian Molson Grandnational race. I suppose it's the only Pontiac Stocker I've ever seen with a big #1 on the door. |

Can't remember if I've asked this question, or not.
If I have, I don't remember the answer. I have this picture labeled " '61 Unknown". Can some of you older guys tell me this guy's name ? ![]() |

I suppose the driver name Bill Blair, on the silver Tempest, is a new one to me.
Would like to know where that "Class Champion" race took place, which is mentioned on the car in pic #3. ? Have read that an M/T Tempest won A/FX @ Pomona in '63. If a Tempest also won A/FX @ Indy, I'd like to know about it. And, if that winning car was the one in your pic #3, I'd like to know that. Last edited by oldskool; 01-21-2022 at 10:54 AM. |

Here's a couple of pics that were just posted, of a Bird I've never seen.
Has Ridge Runner Auto Centers on the door. Looks to be a '74 T/A, which was running E/SA. I assume that means it was SD455 powered. On the rear windshield is written: "Car in Tow". I assume that means they pulled it to & from the track with a tow bar. Been there & done that. Last edited by oldskool; 01-29-2022 at 03:49 PM. |
