I would think moving or offsetting the lifter would be illegal in stock, if not the sbm's would have a lot to gain with the 59 degree lifter angle.

That looks like a pre 70's Buick block that had the crankcase breather at the rear of the block. I think the distributor went in the front cover on those engines.

I'm sure that we can all remember our first time in "teardown". I was told by the Tech Inspector doing mine to just consider it my initiation into the game. I'd love to see a video of his!

I thought everyone going fast was running the new variable base circle cams? I'm not in the cam business but I think they call them the "Boomerang Stick"?
