Re: An argument you can not win!!!!
Chris
The "Dough Boy" is a SST racer from Illinois so I doubt that you know him. As to if Justin was right to argue with the starter on the starting line in my opinion he did exactly the right thing at the right place. If you leave the starting line after you precieve that there is a problem your history. Sincerely

Re: An argument you can not win!!!!
Bill,
This is Justin. I am using my fathers account. Trust me, Lee knows exactly who I am and I know exactly who he is. I have even been to the body shop he works at. Whether or not Lee does have a problem with me or not he did sure put in a lot of effort to make me look bad and make me look like I was arguing a situation that never happened. I really figured he and everyone else that was NOT there would have something better to do then try to imagine and make up what happened at the the race. What happened, happened and Reg is a great man and deserved as much as anyone to win that race. Thanks for all the support from the cool guys on the site. Makes up for the jackasses with nothing better to do with their time. Thanks, JL |

Re: An argument you can not win!!!!
Ok here we go......
I do not have a hidden agenda against Justin, why would i? Justin i was not trying to make you look bad, you did that all yourself. I started this post as to show NHRA doesn't care.... No matter what happened on the line the call had been made and Stewart would never change that..... as for backing up and getting out of the car.....do you really think they where gonna do a rerun? My post are based on what i saw in photos and the video and things i read. in all the photos and the sportsman show Stewart is standing where he always does. It shows you stage and then your bottom bulb goes off and you leave....that is what i saw. Reg never moved until they tell him to go. I think it is funny that you and your father think i have a hidden agenda against you... Funny when your rig got stuck in the mud out here last year, my tow guy came and got you out and i told him we are friends and to cut you a deal..... Funny when you won Pomona last year in S/G i posted the thread to congrat you. Funny you don't remember those things. I did not have a problem then, but i guess i am the bad guy now.... You know what i don't care !!!!!!!!!! i will be the bad guy,,,, the one trying to make you look bad...hahahahah thats ok with me.... 7,260 view and 52 post and you and dad remember mine... i feel honored. Mr. Jones the Jackass.. hahaahah

Re: An argument you can not win!!!!
Heres my take............ With ALL the people that were on the starting line, I'm sure everyone seen something just a little different.
However, the info that I found most interested was from Reg. He, himself felt something was up.......and not right. And the starting line "Is" the place to discuss such things.......I once had a problem that I was not happy about and I went right to the tower, and Ole' Buster Couch taped me on my chest several times and informed me that and I quote "If you stage, and take the green you are execpting conditions as they are." unquote. But also, as Reg sorta stated, Rick is a drama queen. And I can't help but think, if there would have been anyone else at the tree, the race may have been handled differently.

Re: An argument you can not win!!!!
I don't think this would have happened with Buster. The starters job is to make sure we get a fair start. As soon as the cameraman came into my lane the whole thing should have been waved off to be fair to me and to Justin as well. If we had both shut off, what would they have done.I sure think they should have backed us out and started over. That would have been fair. Justin and my buddy Ferd were the two guys that concerned me the most on the event entry list. Two great talents!!

Re: An argument you can not win!!!!
I have seen both clips on the final which I stated previously the regular espn 2 version did NOT SHOW what Reg & Justin saw but the espn 3 version did SHOW the complete version from prior to the burnout to the staging & you clearly saw Rick waving towards Reg's car.Ive tried to get it back on espn3 but as you know its no longer available.I think if Lee would have seen the complete tape he would see what happened .Reg you seem like a fair guy and congrats on your win! Justin you are one bad dude and you proved that the next race .THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RERUN!
