I'll guess hydrazine based on your posting of the same car about the "no solid rocket fuel". Racers were playing with hydrazine about that time since nitro wasn't enough. LOL! It spawned such great photos, but my favorite is the Magic Muffler Fiat blowing the crank out the bottom of the car and the driver looking down at the carnage. One of those Priceless moments from the credit card company.

Anyone here remember these things called 'Zingers' that toured the car show circuit...several were built of different types of cars and all had their own names.
