Re: Old School SG
I expect the TS and TD classes to be a part of the National Events in 2010 from a source of the rumor inside the head shed at NHRA.
There are also big changes proposed for Stock and Super Stock for 2010 due to the labor intensive nature of running those classes at National Events. The only thing that may save SC, SG, and SST at the National Events is the lack of them being labor intensive to run the class. NHRA is looking for ways to cut labor costs and overhead in running all classes. My 2 Cents |

Re: Old School SG
If TS and TD are in national events in 2010 then the rumor on big changes in the super classes will happen soon. SC goes away and SG and SST are combined together at 9.90 with a .500 pro tree.

Re: Old School SG
Just wish they would make up there mind soon...heard soo many rumors in the past month about this class going, that class going, combining this class, adding this class, opening the classes to everyone at National Events cause of low car counts.

Re: Old School SG
Well, it's not much but I actually managed to be #1 qualifier with a 6.301 at our 1/8-mile National Open this past Saturday, using my old-school setup. Also managed a 6.300 1st round, but broke out with a 6.292 next round (and missed out on a bye run into the final). I actually had fun being chased, trying to close the gap. I was running 6.30 at 103 mph, while others were up near 130 mph (and the next slowest car was around 113 mph).
Regards,

Re: Old School SG
I heard the rumor at ORP yesterday that Comp may be on the chopping block. Have you guys heard any of this?
