You could call it a 1996 - but it's still at 290hp, so I/SA at 3650# or J/SA or 3795#.

OK, who went to the trouble of getting the 2001 Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis into the class guide?

4.6L mod motor, rated at 220hp at a 17.xx weight break - so either Q/SA at 3910 or R/SA at 4130. Similar specs and shared parts with the Mustang GT, which is at 260.

Anything to see here?

It will run plenty good...not a dime rocket. DFI, good rear end to hold up to the weight.

Wow LMAO !!! just listed in two days ago... Correct me if I'm wrong 2001 is the 2V with the PI heads, intake and cams? If so, the non PI 2v is running 5-6 under at 207 hp in a mustang, so this should be a decent combo, worth looking at.. And probably, the 99-04 mustang at 260 is way high for that engine, never saw one recently in stock eliminator, what a shame considering how many were built..

I remember comments on the heads for the 305 2 barrel heads. 450 heads were the best of the castings species. Of those there was a difference between them and the better ones had clearer casting numbers. Anyone remember this? I will try to post pictures I took today of my castings and the numbers.
