Default Re: Erica & Greg?

I disagree that the driver isn't that important. I think a great driver is absolutely a huge key ingredient in having a successful team. Erica's driving has certainly improved and it's showing in results. In a class that is separated by .07 from #1 and not getting in the show. The driver actually has to cut a light, change all gears and deal with how unstable the cars are on the top end with near zero downforce. I'd say the cars are quite difficult to drive one to the winners circle. Heck Johnson has a huge performance advantage(sitting in #1 spot most times ET/MPH) and he hasn't be dominate in the class(winning every race).
No doubt money is a massive key ingredient but all the money in the world isn't going to make up for a poor or even average driver.

I plan to eventually head to prostock within the next 6-10 years. I do not have the budget to run my own car yet but I'm working on it.

Greg Anderson, wether you like it or not assembled a team that forever changed the face of prostock, while Erica Enders just remains a pretty face. Greg is the essence of the sport ,he can do everything on that car while Erica is just a driver who happens to have some kind of appeal (to who I dont know) , she couldn't walk a step in his shoes. Im not one to toot someones horn but all this bashing is just jealousy. I never thought I would see the day when drag racing would turn into a popularity contest like American Idol. Greg may not be the best loser (and he aint no loser) but someone who puts their heart and soul into this may have a different perspective as someone who casually observes the situation. It's a shame that the REAL RACERS who do everything are getting bad ink to the puppets that drive because it's a good business decision and they're marketable. The bottom line ,if you can't do it all your a poser and the REAL RACERS wont respect you, and it seems as there are not many left.
