I would say yes.
Did anybody notice the headers coming out at the FRONT bumper ?
He ran this car at Kinston Dragstrip when it was originally built...
You beat me to it Danny, in Tom's pic you can see the headers coming out in front of the front wheel. There was an article in SS&DI on the car when it was originally built, and it talks about the headers....

Al Brister is a member here, and he helped Dick Henry a lot with this car back when it was first built. If he happenes to stumble across this thread he can probably elaborate on the headers and other such stuff. I remember seeing Dick run the car at Kinston and Jacksonville quite a bit in the mid to late 1980s.

Anthony Bertozzi told us that he had bought it from Ken Bugaj. Ken has also contacted us and told us it once belonged to him. Also, both Arnold Greene and Mike Heintz told us some of the history of the car.

In any event, it has two class wins at St Louis, a runner up at the 2011 St. Louis race, and tow class wins at the Bowling Green SportsNational Open.
Orange Camaro ,,,,
I bought it from Steve, when we got it we built it for A/SA with a Hetler motor.
Mike Heintz and Arnold helped us out.
I tried it in Top Stock with the 427 but it really couldn't run with the 502.
I then got the Silver Corvette reworked it and got a 502 from the Morgan's...
I sold the Camaro to Bob Harris, Bob had it Painted Orange.
Bob ran it a few times and I bought it back ,,
Lee Truell bought it from me ,ran it for a year then sold it to Anthony,,
And so the story goes,,, It's a really nice car !

John Nemeth out of Indiana has this car now. I think Tim Ryherd purchased it from you. Conway Witten bought it from Tim. Went through a few owners. I sold it to John.

FYI,

Is this the same car (see pic of Joe Scott's camaro below)?
Where did it go after Wally had it?

I'm not possitive of this, but the Joe Scott car could be the car the Santangelo's now own. I believe Vito Savino bought it from Joe Scott and the Santangelo's bought it from Vito.

I built this 66 wagon in 1977 from a street car that was given to me by my lettering guy, the late Billy Mocarsky.
Later that year ,with the de-factoring of the 283, and the addition of a third seat, I was able to put the thing into R/Stock ,were it was capable of running under the index just about anywhere. For those guys new here, that was a really good situation back then.
We set the R/Stock record three times in 78, won the Orlando WCS and finished 3rd in the division.
By 1979, I decided to try Super Stock again. I converted the car to a powerglide for it's new owner, Frank (The Wagonmaster) Tantillo.
The second pic it at the 79 Winternationals. (recently forwarded to me by Dave Kommel)
Frank painted the car two tone blue, and finished 2nd in the Connecticut Dragway points that year.(1980)
I think I know where the car is now, but maybe Gary or Barry Parker can fill us in from 81 forward.

Could this be the same car Bob Mullaney won the D1 championship with in the late 90's?
I think it was a different color.

Here's a picture of the 69 Camaro Kenny is talking about.
He sent me this picture to post.......

Hi George

I believe this red camaro is the current car that Joe Scott still has.

If that is the same issue of SS&DI that I have, they featured what were believed to be the first 2 SS GT cars to be used in competition, the Dick Henry Camaro, and Len Schneiders Thunderbird. Schneiders TBird was first built with a 428 Cobra Jet, but was switched to a 351 Cleveland soon after. As far as I know, Len still has the car, but has not raced it much in recent years.
