Yes, generally Q-2 (Qualifying-2) is also C-1 (Class-1). In qualifying, your A/SA can run any car on a qual run. NHRA does this at their races, first round of Class also counts for qualifying for the main event. Like Indy next week. Stock will get Q-1 and Q-2 Wednesday, get Q-3 Thursday morning, then go into Class shortly after. C-1 will also be Q-4, the last shot to make a run good enough to qualify for the 128 car show that starts Saturday there. Only the 4 Q runs count. So if you win class, and run quick enough in C-2 and C-3 to make the show, it won't count, since it wasn't a run that counts towards qualifying (in the interest of fairness. Otherwise, a racer in a class with 1-2 cars would only get four chance to qualify; the B/SA final would have eight, with four more rounds of Class to run).

Correct.

Friday - May 2, 2014
2 Qualifying runs. The first qualifying run, we may split the field up by colored run sticker (distributed when you pass tech) to keep people from having to sit in the staging lanes all day. No sense in calling 200 Stockers to the lanes all at the same time! We want to get you to the lanes and down the track as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The second round of Qualifying is first round of Lucas Oil Class Eliminations (same-classed cars paired, run heads-up) Only 1st round of Class will count toward qualifying for the Quick 32's and the Sunday $5K Main Events. Cars will be called to the lanes by Class. We'll work with Redman and Nitro Joe to determine which and how many classes are called at a time. We will run Class Eliminations to completion, then jump into the Quick 32 CIC races and ET Enterprises Junior Stock Shootout presented by the Buckeye S/SS Series.

Friday is laid out so that you can put it on kill and leave it there all day. Saturday has two more qualifying runs, so you can put it in bracket mode and leave it there the rest of the weekend (barring a heads-up run, of course). We determined that it would be a lot easier on people than having to swap back and forth between 'go fast' and bracket modes throughout the weekend.

We'll get into the micro-details when we get closer to the event. For the most up to date information, see www.looserocker.com/ncn

All singles thrown in together or single car runs for Class Winner?

As stated on the flyer (available at www.looserocker.com/ncn), "No AHFS! No BS! No Class Combos!"

And no, you don't have to run -.50 under, or any of the other stuff sanctioning bodies have come up with throughout the years. If you are the lone car in a Class, take the single to win Class, period.

If the "convoluted rules" NHRA has given into the whiners on are tossed running the index to win class is not even necessary.
The rule at Indy then was you could win class not running the index BUT you were not added to the ladder the way racers that ran the index were! It took me 'til the 4th try to get on the ladder!!!!!

If you tech in a legal Stock or Super Stock car, and win Class, you won Class. It doesn't get any simpler. This event is, to borrow a phrase, "By Racers, For Racers".

Class Eliminations have no bearing on Qualifying, as it is an All Run field, so there's no issue of "bump-ins", etc.

I've been trying to broom the Belvedere but now I may have to buy some tires and tote it to Ohio!

Michael, Is there any thought of doing the Factory Showdown with the "FX" cars at this race?

On that same note how about Top Stock for pre 2008 cars with the old Top Stock rules?

Thanks for putting on this great race!

Clay

We've got a pretty chock-full schedule already, and since we will be running Lucas Oil Class Eliminations for all classes, it would be a little bit of a duplication of effort, and many F/X and/or Top Stock type cars may be in the Quick 32 CIC races. If people want to get a bunch of cars together in the same class and gather some support, we'd be happy to provide additional value to those sponsors by advertising it on the flyer, as we have done with Deano's SS/K Shootout, the U/SA Shootout, and the DanSources Pure Stock Challenge.

Let's get the first year under our belt, and then we'll take a look at the possibility of some different programs for the following year.
