Hey Mopar guys! Dare to be different! With the new reduction to the 69/318/230/172, how about a Charger for U/SA?

I have tried a 1985 SVO Mustang for my son to drive in J/K or L stick... I should start it this weekend with the megasquirt on it.. I had it started already with all the stock computer and it didn't run great.. Thought it would be a dime rocket but think it will be more. We will have more info in the next few weeks.. I wanted to run a couple of points races this year but I dont know yet.. Lets see if it will run the index first. It is a low budget car but has some nice parts on it..
scott

PS ... I probably should have built the 83 84 gt turbo mustang or the 80 2.3 blow through car or even the tbird tc.. all would have been cheaper..

Just to stir up some conversation.. . .
Top 16 Qualifying from Mission:

2 6273 K/SA Angela Bushmaker, Auburn WA, '65 Valiant 11.702 12.65 -0.948
3 6241 C/SA Casey Plaizier, Edmonton AB, '96 Firebird 10.480 11.40 -0.920
4 610 K/SA Pete Kost, Seattle WA, '77 Cutlass 11.731 12.65 -0.919
5 68 V/SA Jim Mantle, Black Creek BC, '77 Pacer 14.602 15.50 -0.898
6 6842 B/SA Dan Cyr, Portland OR, '69 Camaro 10.355 11.25 -0.895
7 1 E/SA Brad Burton, Kirkland WA, '72 Formula 10.823 11.70 -0.877
8 65 A/SA Mick Alley, Eagle ID, '69 Camaro 10.135 11.00 -0.865
9 6227 Q/SA Bruce Flodin, Abbotsford BC, '95 Dakota 12.950 13.80 -0.850
10 6340 G/SA Jim Storms, Renton WA, '72 Barracuda 11.152 12.00 -0.848
11 626 H/SA Dave Barcelon, Bremerton WA, '69 Camaro 11.314 12.15 -0.836
12 6001 O/SA Norm LaPointe, Sherwood Park AB, '68 Mali 12.366 13.15 -0.784
13 6005 Q/S Thomas Baumeister, Surrey BC, '70 Challen 12.876 13.65 -0.774
14 6643 L/SA Glenn Rogers, Pitt Meadows BC, '77 Firebi 11.928 12.70 -0.772
15 6305 I/SA Todd Gale, West Richland WA, '70 Camaro 11.565 12.30 -0.735
16 6383 G/SA Will Kelly, Walla Walla WA, '70 Barracuda 11.273 12.00 -0.727

I see 5 potential "rockets" there. That 318 2bbl at -0.775 is impressive and probably more encouraging than most gave it credit when the topic was first discussed.

I can only imagine how thrilling it would be to be paired with one of those while driving an SS car at a combo race. LOL

Ed, you should stage and put it in park in case you fall asleep waiting on your tree to come down. Safety first.

Ed we have a U/SA ford escort that runs with us at the SSSSA combo's. I have had to run him numerous times on the 1/4 and 1/8 mile. The wait is crazy long at the start and you have to lift about 4 car lengths before you get to their bumper. I have a pretty good win loss ratio on him. He is tough though. There are 2 or three other U/SA car that run with us regularly.
