Bill Parham and Gordon Payne were local racers. Gordon was working on his engineering degree. He then went to work for Ford, had to move to Michigan. Always fast. Great guys.

I have my 1962 guide that has updates to 1970. What do you guys want?
It goes back as far as 1950 on some combinations. Just the guide, not the specs or part numbers.

Adger,
Would you scan some 57 Ford pgs so I can send them to NHRA and prove they exist! Thanks, Ron. |

I asked NHRA about other pre 1960 cars when they added the 55 thru 59 Chevrolets to stock a few years ago. The answer was they have access to the old class guides but there were no engine specs for most of the older cars.

Would someone scan the 57 Ford pgs for me?
Although Y-Block Fords were not competitive yrs ago I think w/todays rules they could be especially the supercharged 312 which held records for a decade. Thanks everyone for your comments and help. Ron. |

I looked at my guide. It has NHRA 1969 at the bottom of the page. For example the two door sedan with fordomatic breaks 11.18 so it is a F, G. H car. A couple years ago I mentioned this to Pat. There was no interest there. Pat was probably not born when we raced Jr Stock.
