Re: Dogs at the Track
Ever fly the RED EYE from LA to New York with a baby two aisles behind you that cried from about 15 minutes after take off to about an hour before landing. That's something special .The mother tried everything but to no avail. Quite a trip !

Re: Dogs at the Track
I personally am annoyed by kids at restaurants that scream, carry on etc. I think there should be 'family only' dining areas in restaurants. We have designated smoking areas, lets have em' for 'families' that bring their screaming kids to restaurants. Let adults that wish to have a quiet, relaxing meal enjoy just that. If I wanted to hear all that noise while eating, I'd go to Chuckee Cheese.

Re: Dogs at the Track
And about loud music at Indy! It got real quiet after his second trip over to their pits!!
A couple of years ago at Indy, one of my good friends was chased down and bitten by a dog, ripping his jeans. He went and got NHRA to handle it. By the time they got there, the people took the dog and hid it at someone elses pits so they didnt have to leave or be thrown out. Last edited by Wade_Owens; 09-12-2013 at 06:43 PM. |

Re: Dogs at the Track
I feel bad for the dogs when the owners bring their dogs up to the stands to watch the cars going down the track. ESPECIALLY while the faster/louder cars, like the Alkies, are running!
The owners never have hearing protection (if it even exists) for their "beloved animal that they treat like their own child!" If it was their human child, you know they would have ear muffs on the kid, & nevermind the fact that a dog's sense of hearing is a million and a half more sensitive than human's! I saw this poor dog in the stands flinch at the hit of the throttle EVERY TIME at a recent divisional race! You ask the owner why they bring their dog to the race, and it's "Oh, he just loves coming to the track," when it's obvious that no, the dog does NOT love coming to the track!

Re: Dogs at the Track
We bring our dog along, the cars don't bother him a bit doesn't even raise his head up. However the fireworks make him a wreck, of course he goes and hides then it's like nothing ever happened a few minutes later. Not saying it's right or wrong, we also put our dog in the trailer when we'll be away, he doesn't bark he cries for a few minutes calling for his pack we assume, does the same thing at home.Being a responsible pet owner eliviates many of the "problems" of bringing pets to the races. IMO
