Is this Nick the same one that works @ VP fuels,he told me this would be his 50 th year at US Nationals
Did'nt hear the audio but if this the same Nick, I know he is really nice guy and I would say he had bad day or nerves,it is US NATIONALS, I have the knowledge to do the job but I know I don't have rest of what it takes to be any good @ announcing. Travis answered my question,I feel bad for Nick,I think it would be a hard job to do. Mike Taylor 3601 Last edited by Mike Taylor 3601; 08-29-2013 at 06:52 PM. Reason: addition |

Leo is very good at it but give a guy a break if he doesn't no every comb, people complaining about announcers need to think about complaining about something that is important

It's very nice that the guys who know him are defending him. That being said,it's too bad the PA system didn't short out during his stint at the mike.Bad meat is bad meat.

it's the u.s. Nationals that's what's important this week! And it's no place for a bottom of the barrel enhancement!!!

Used to be the first two days at Indy you had a whole bunch of different announcers from the NHRA announcers Guild taking turns at the mic.
Some were ok, some were way out of their league , but you usually only had to endure the bad ones for maybe one round or one class. Kind of really makes you appreciate the job guys line Bob Frey , Leo , and Louis have done over the years. Besides Leo , I think only Alan Reinhart and Louis Bloom have the knowledge and appreciation for the Sportsman classes to announce a race this big.
