The factory initially utilized the Carter 3705 AFB's and with jetting and other minor changes designated the released hemi carbs as 3861's. Later in the year they changed to the Holley 3116's.

Now if we're talking about ugly,,,,,,,
the 1961 Plymouth.
So ugly,,,,,,,you have to tie a 'pork chop' to the tire, just to get the
dog to pee on it......

If I ever get to the point of being financially unconstrained, I have always thought it would be massively cool to build one of these or a '60 model Batmobile model for Stock or Super Stock. There are some interesting engine combinations in '60 and '61. The cool factor is off the chart. Of course you would have to campaign the car with a mask on.

Anyone see a 426-S in a 64' Belvedere Station Wagon.
had a weight break of 10.01 wt/hp,,,,,,,,,,
Not desirable from 64' thru 67', but in 1968 fit into
E/SA quite nicely,,,,,,,

In 1966 my 64 Dodge 330 2 dr (old Police Car) with 4.56 rear and fender well headers ran B/SA at a best of 13.5 and 99 mph (never could get to 100!)
this was my daily driver at the time. Long time ago.
Now my Jeep 4.0 runs R/SA at 12.90 and 100 MPH - Progress!

GTX John,

The car you spoke of was mine until I sold it to John Shaul.

*It was originally a 383 with white exterior and red interior, sold by a dealer in Connecticut.
*Raced by Domini & Shepard of Long Island, NY during the sixties and seventies.
*I bought it from them in 1980, painted it red and raced it in D1 as a A/SA and sold it to John in 1995(?)
*Gregg Luneack eventually ended up with it.
*Don Cosey still has it as far as I know.

I remember D and S going through a lot of trouble to return the wheel wells to stock after racing it as a SSer. I miss those guys. The Hampton Raceway days in the 70s were by far the best.
