The angle it does move is minimal as the pivot is towards the rear of the case. My headers are about 2" lower the the actuator, so although it might be possible you would need a really low car! Actuator is on 2x2x7". |

Altronics uses our own test cars to do all of our product development. (We have to justify the cost of racing some how!!!) Although, for this product we have relied on feedback from several respected parties in the industry during development and do have a few "test" vehicles lined up. |

Stock class, no definitive answer yet, Obviously drag paks and such use a electronically controlled rpm activated shifter (internal to the trans?) ? |

I can't believe you guys are busting Fred's balls over this. Somebody takes the time and R&D effort to bring something new to racers and he gets jumped on! If its not your "cup of tea" thats your privledge and right, but don't spout off on the man. Grow up.
Fred, I don't know you, but I think you've got an innovative product that many racers can use. Good luck with your product and thanks for your efforts. Danny Durham |

Looks like a slick deal to me. If I can race again next year I'll probably try it.
Don't guess there is any reason that key pad has to be on the steering wheel?

After years of frustration with cable operated shifters and internal solenoid valve bodies RPM switches and shift timer (all of which are on my car currently) This type of shifter is inovative I only have one suggestion make the buttons bigger to accommodate operation with gloves on. Fred, As Dan said, I too wish you Good luck with your product and thanks for your efforts.

THanks to both of you! Buttons: I myself use gloves and I can tell you the buttons are very easy to push. They are mounted just above flush with the case (so they don't get pushed inadvertantly) and only require about 0.05" of throw to actuate. THrough the inital design we definitely considered gloves being used. |
