Re: 128 Car Field Qualifying
I have one question, how do we find out, is there anywhere in writing as to the minutes of the Committee meetings? Are we not allowed to know what goes on in them? What was talked about? What was voted on? How did the members vote? All this needs to be published either on the NHRA site or in the National Dragster or both! This isn't a secret society, it is a group voted in by the racers FOR the racers. And calling your rep won't work. You will get 7 different views and opinions if you can get a hold of your rep. The facts need to be made public! Jim

Re: 128 Car Field Qualifying
Makes one wish we were back to the days when we got some answers from Len.
Hard to believe tradition can be ****-canned and not a word on the rationale of why it was done! I know, I know, the squeaky wheel! No heads-up in eliminations will come, sooner rather then later. |

Re: 128 Car Field Qualifying
It is extremely suspicious that NOT ONE Committee member will post and explain how this came about. What are we to do? Is our back against the wall now? Do we need to recall ALL of the Committee members and re vote or disband the Committee altogether? Something has to give here! I will ask again, is there a Committee member with the balls to post here and explain exactly what happened in the meeting? This is just too bizarre to ignore. Jim

Re: 128 Car Field Qualifying
Jim,
I think the SRAC conducts conference calls and it doesn't sound like any one is taking anything down other than what they may have voted on. It sounds like there is not enough evidence to make a federal case out of this issue. Where do you go from here? We can run this thread up to 500 posts and never get a consensus and nhra isn't going to change a thing. So what's next?

Re: 128 Car Field Qualifying
OK, Bruce, then I would ask, why aren't there notes kept? Who informs NHRA ( you know it must be in writing) what was talked about or decided? There is no way this group is run this way. There are records kept . That's what I am asking, what's next? Jim

Re: 128 Car Field Qualifying
Jim,
I know you are highly motivated by this issue, but you're not going to get the type of information you are looking for. From what I have heard, the SRAC members conduct teleconferences to discuss a few issues. They may vote on an issue or two and that is about it. No big conspiracy. Just some guys doing the best they can to put some balance back into our little world.
