Guess important lessons were learned. Fellow racers do not wait long and NHRA officials will not give people chances to get ready either. So hurry up everyone when getting ready to make a pass.

John, I really hate that it all happened. The guy working the lanes said Bryan would not move until they told him you were broke.

Racers,
Look,
Anytime I've been paired with a car I wait until the guy suites up give the thumbs up and hit the key so we dont get out of order. This is the only way to act, weather or no weather coming. How did the two cars get separated in the first place? You dont just run off and leave, it is only gentlemanly to wait, no excuses people.

Now if there a single cars going down the track ahead of paired cars, how could you explain that? THERE WAS TIME!!! Of course the officials are gonna think the other guy is broke because most people dont run off and leave!!

Like I said this lacks integrity and sportsmanship, but most of all It still doesnt pass the smell test.

Something to think about it seems that NHRA is always waiting for the sandbaggers to run, to getting to the staging lanes ,everyone knows who they are of course ,so why did nhra not wait for Clegg to get ready to run there were cars still behind him waiting to run as the sandbaggers were not there yet ??? I am confused about this whole deal >

Question Re: Brian Chaney wins SS @ Tulsa LODRS!

Would Olan G. or Craig H. explain to us what happened. I know for a fact that they have waited for competitors to get to the lanes in the past, and I mean wait a long time.

track official said and i quote,
"Chaney was the forth or fifth set in line that was going to race John"

There were 44 cars in that event, that means 22 pairs. Probably would take at least half an hour to forty five minutes to run that many cars. Why was Chaney in the front of the line? That means 17 or 18 pairs of cars after Chaney ran?

Awe come on, give the guy a chance. That is horrible I dont think anyone can defend that people!!!! At the very least it should have been a rerun. Anything could have happened to delay John a bit, but It sound like Chaney was awefully eager to get to the front of the line.

You dont run single runs in the front! unless the guy breaks in the box or something. Awful, Awful, Awful.

Mr. McCarty, Mr. Clegg and my brother flipped for lanes at which point Bryan told him he was about ready so when he was ready to let him know or pull up and the could get in line a few minutes later Mr. Clegg pulled up and got in line at which point Bryan got ready just like the pair of cars in front and behind him and the track waited another 10 minutes... there not gonna wait all day long for one guy and you wanna talk about integrity thats gotta be bashing someone over the internet when you weren't even there and have no idea what happened and have no dog in the fight... have a nice day

Typical internet.

A couple of guys that weren't there and know nothing making all the noise. One acting like he is teaching school, and thinks anybody else cares how he "does it".

How long does it take to put on a fire jacket, put your belts on, click up the net and strap on your helmet?

Were you getting ready or swapping engines?
