Re: In search of Jerico Parts
James, have you heard of a possibility of Liberty offering a trans. for Stock application?

Re: In search of Jerico Parts
I received a long response from Jerico I shared with Rory McNeil this weekend at a local stick race. Long story short Jerico said they will not produce parts costing hundreds of thousands of dollars and then be stuck with them or not make any money id they do sell.
Talking with Rory this weekend we know of far more people running DR4's that will need parts at some point than DR4-4's. I can't think that running a batch of mainshafts for stock would be a huge investment for Jerico to keep their customers existing transmissions going. I purchased a new DR4-4 last year. I looked at GForce but in my car it would have required some serious work to get the shifter back far enough. The Jerico is on the very last holes on the extension housing but is perfect. I did send my Long shifter to have stops added and converted to a pistol grip. Maybe if enough people contact Jerico they will rethink the decision to drop support of the DR4? |

Re: In search of Jerico Parts
so, what goes bad with the mainshaft?
maybe I should rephrase that....what HAS been happening to the main shafts? if I do sell this trans (most likely), I don't want to stick somebody with junk parts

Re: In search of Jerico Parts
If, by main shaft, you mean input shaft, in the past I have broken
the nose of two input shafts. After re-re-re alignment of the bell , no further problems. I will also go to a bit longer pilot bushing. Terry K |

Too bad that you spoke to someone without a brain... If they had one they could pre-sell them and manufacture a batch of parts to fit the needs of their customers... They are just a short sighted company that is operating without a clue. Maybe the next owner will get it????

Re: In search of Jerico Parts
I would be in for a spare input shaft if they would consider doing a
run of selected DR4 parts!!! Terry K |

Re: In search of Jerico Parts
I thought Liberty had a five speed that used a Nash type case. Not sure if it went into production, but I think a few guys had them.

Re: In search of Jerico Parts
The jerico main shaft(output) usually breaks under third gear where the size steps down.
