Wow, I don't remember suites being there. Did they come alone after 1979, or am I even more senile than I thought?

Re: Going to Baton Rouge?
Favorite story about the track was @ Cajon Nationals after the drivers meeting about the possibility of picking up snakes with parachutes after making the turn, Bob Glidden came all the way to the scales to let Etta shake em out. Also Bruce Larson's first Funny Car National event win.

Lemme guess. Your throttle stuck in reverse and you mowed 'em down with the roadster. That's actually a tough one but, if my failing memory serves, weren't they torn down for the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie shoot? |

Re: Going to Baton Rouge?
It was May, 1985 at the Cajun Nationals, I was low qualifier in Tom Ward's Gator Nationals Stock winner 7 passenger Plymouth wagon. The car was so heavy the track scales couldn't weigh it! Good times! Jim
Bret! Where have you been? Thought you were dead! Glad I was wrong. LOL. Jim
