Inspection, VIN, tax, title , permanent plate, and oh yeah, road use fee. (CA. trick they picked up over here) total $191.00 Probably cheap, compared to some states. Leave the paint like that? I guess you don't know me very well..LOL

Not a lot of bubblepak- ing going on yet..
Little bit.. New countenance here: I decided I didn't want to spend 25 bucks and four hours, polishing headlights..Not when I could get a new pair for 48 bucks, free shipping. ![]() Solid mounts all welded up and fitting to the transaxle and block. I gave the t/a a bath and a spray can rebuild. Hoping for the best ;-) ![]() I remembered that the crossmember that two of the mounts sit on, was rubber mounted too, so I did a quickie solution on that. ![]() This doesn't look much like a header yet, but I promise it will, when I get the head back and put this thing together. ![]()

I had a couple more pics that I neglected to include in the last update, so here ya go}
The bracket that holds the alternator, also held the p/s pump and A/C compressor. I attacked it with a Sawzall and left just enough I think.It also bolts to the head. I had to rotate the tensioner to the left and then find the exact right belt. (3 tries) but it oughta work okay. ![]() I had to heat the front hubs with an acetylene torch to get the axle out of them, which , in turn , ruined the wheel bearings..The axle splines were choked with rust but I managed to save them by using small cut off wheel on a Dremel tool to clean them up. It all pressed back together fairly easy . ..A few more parts not covered with grease and rust anymore.. ![]() ![]()
