Had a friend Don Shirley (R.I.P.) ran a roadster in Comp. elim back in the day called "HOG WASH" I asked him did that have any meaning, and he said " It's as close to Bull **** as you can get" at the time thought that was very funny. Plus it fits in this forum like a O.J. glove.

Not sure if it was mentioned before but Happy Harry had a pink camaro named
"Not Pink".We ran each other quite a bit in Pro ET.I saw the name on the back alot, but he saw "Flying Shoebox" on the back of my 1973 gremlin also. Changed over to "American Graffiti" in 1980 and the name has stuck since then.

Back in the 80's every jacked up Camaro on the street had to be named after some kind of heavy metal song or lyric. Some cornier then others.my first car was a blue 67 culass that had the name blue max already on it so that dont count.
My first camaro which I bought in 1989 I named Powerslave after the Iron Maiden album. My current car has the name powerslave 4 in little letters on the decklid, but there have been 6 bonafied Powerslaves since I have owned other cars while I had this one.I still own Slave 1 and have what might become slave 7 in the driveway right now. Here are some other names to grace the rear spoilers of my friend's high school hot rods. Wheels of Fire {Man-O -War song} Live Wire and Spit Fire{2 friends who were obviously fans of Motley Crue and Kixx) The Road Warrior {nuff said} One Bad Habit.{another name that has lived on it many incarnations} Good Vibraions {very loud orange Camaro} A little bfore my time there were some others around town Unchained *** very fast Van Halen blasting GTO] Emotional Rescue { a blown 68 Camaro} Steppin out {some kid with a vette} Racketyboom {on the hoodscoop of a local bracket raqcers Nova with a very loud smallblock} I know I am forgetting a few. |

We all had to start somewhere. This is the first car I ever raced at the track.I painted the name on it the first day I drove it to school.I stopped to pick up a friend on the way to school and we decided we had to name it before anybody saw it.We stopped at the hardware store up the block from his house spent all the money in our pockets to buy a stencil kit,a black spray bomb and maybe some masking tape. With little though the name popped into one of our heads and has followed me ever since.
