Having a hard time finding those 4bbl intakes that were an over the counter option on 72-82 302's, should just let them run with a performer as well along with the 600cfm holley. Of course the hp will have to be lowered to 100-105hp to make it "fair".

(75 mustang at 2000# to fit U/SA?? that aught to set some records lol)

Before you worry to much about this combo, which there aren't that many out there, you might want to take a look at the 91 Corvette which holds the G/SA record at 10.54 at 124 or the 73 Pontiac TA - 455 at 306 hp. If you think all this aluminum stuff helps so much (other than weight) then why is the 70 Duster with aluminum heads 2 hp less than with cast iron heads? The AVS 340 combo & the 383 only take a 1 hp hit with aluminum heads & be prepared to spend big $$$$ to make them legal. Wish I could use a Quick fuel carb or a 4 speed auto trans. Didn't powerglide combo's got a 3 speed, why can't I run a 4 speed auto? That help way more than a manifold. Just sayin.
Chuck you need a 4speed I will by the 3 rd pedal for you ! G/S looks better on your window

G record is 10.57 not 10.54. However, it may be faster than that by the end of the year.

Sorry for the mistake, could not get the the NHRA national record page. On my best day I would never see those numbers in my car at F weight. I guess I got a lot of work to do.

Yes. '71 started the thermoquads for the Chrysler combos. Jim

Well, as of this morning, the LD340 has been removed from the guide for the 71 car. Just 68-69-70 to go NHRA!

Billy, so it was you there at the beach. And I did not flip you the bird, I used all five fingers as a group gesture. No, I am not mad at you for what ever reason people are mad at you for. You mentioned a manifold for the 273, I do not have it as I prefer good old fashioned iron. (plus I didn't know about it).

Being that you are good at removing certain components from the "guide" and considered a leading pioneer guru of independent thinking, what is the chance of you getting rid of the FFFords that are in U/SA.

Now, let's get back to the meat of this thread, what about that beer.

As of this morning, NHRA has taken delivery of 200 Teenie Tiny Little Bitty 3" total height Walley's for Pomona as participation tropheys. Everybody who shows up gets one. Eliminations have been cancelled. Also anyone who qualifies below the index will automatically lose two items previously approved by NHRA such as reinstall the back seat, reinstall stock brakes, reinstall factory radiator, reinstall camshaft with factory casting number, install real hydraulic lifters with correct travel (sorry Cliff Sherman), return to 4 " Atlas Bucron tires (if you don't know about those, you are too young to post anyway) on factory steel wheels (must remove hubcaps), remove roll cage, reinstall factory exhaust manifolds and exhaust system with stock mufflers only, and I will allow my fascinated friends to continue the saga. We might as well get everything at once.
