if you have a real low first gear, like 2.94 or 3.06, the sooner you get out of first gear the better. the engine is making RPMs, but the car is going no where. you have to think about driving an old farm truck with a granny 4 speed. low gets you moving, the tach is way to the right side and the truck is hardly moving forward!
