You might try the Valvoline synthetic Racing oil. It is advertised as high zinc. I quit using passenger car oil in my engines due to the removal of the zinc content. Best off with oil that is designed for racing purpose.

Can you post a pic of the wear? I am interested in seeing if is adhesive wear or something much milder.
